Raised floor grommets should be used to properly seal any tile cutouts made in the surface of raised floors. The grommets help increase static pressure, keep the air flowing to the proper locations, avoid hot and cold air mixing and increase return air temperature of the CRAC units. They also allow floor tiles to be moved without capturing cables and help prevent damage to network cables.
